Apr. 25, 2008- The eighth-ranked Lindenwood men's golf team won its eighth straight HAAC Championship on Friday and its tenth all-time HAAC title.
Lindenwood trailed the two-round HAAC Tournament by one shot after round one, but shot a four-over 292 in the final round for the victory. The Lions had a total score of 595 and won by nine shots over Baker.
Three Lions earned all-conference honors. Adam Henning and David Lawson both tied for fourth after shooting four-over 148. Brock Robillard tied for seventh after shooting a 150. Both Henning and Robillard led the second day charge for Lindenwood by shooting a tournament-best 71 in the second round.
Kyle Gray had a top-10 finish as he tied for ninth with a 151. Jonathan Prange tied for 12th in the conference standings with a 155.
The NAIA Region V tournament included the first two rounds of the HAAC Tournament and a third round. Lindenwood led the regional tournament by two shots after two rounds, but it dropped three shots in the final round and finished second with a 909, one shot away from William Wood's 908.
Henning led the team in the regional standings by tying for third with an eight-over 224. Lawson joined Henning on the all-region team with a 226, which placed him fifth. Gray was 10th with a 230, Robillard was tied for 11th with a 231 and Prange tied for 21st with a 237.
Lindenwood has received a bid to the NAIA National Tournament, the tenth straight season that the program has qualified for nationals. That event will take place on May 13-16 in Plymouth, Ind.
